Read Your Recall Notice
Whether the manufacturer or the NHTSA issued it, a recall is accompanied by a recall notice in the form of a letter or postcard outlining the issue and the next steps you should take. Save this, and call your Jeep dealership as soon as possible.
Find Your VIN
A VIN is a 17-digit alphanumeric code that helps identify your vehicle, usually found on the driver's side of the dashboard below the windshield. If you're having trouble finding it, look for a label inside the driver's side door and any documents like your vehicle registration and insurance. Once you have this number, you'll want to put it aside to use in the next step.
See If Your Vehicle Is Affected
Next, enter the VIN into the Recall Information tool on the MOPAR® website. This will return a complete list of any recalls affecting your vehicle and advice on the next steps. You will also find reimbursement information for prior recall-related expenses.
